Token City - Blockchain and the Evolving U.S. Regulatory Landscape

Will the United States take the lead in the global digital assets market thanks to its emerging regulatory framework?

This episode featured special guests: Andrew Bull, Esq., from Bull Blockchain Law, LLP. Javier de Coca Benjumea, from Token City. The discussion was moderated by Juan Pedro Parás Varela, from Token City. We explore how the new Executive Order by the US Administration might reshape the financial industry and unlock new opportunities for blockchain technology.

Since writing a thesis on Bitcoin regulation in 2013, Andre Bull has written several publications for legal journals, been quoted in Forbes on digital assets, spoken at international blockchain conferences, contributed to a European Union publication on U.S. blockchain legislation, and developed some of the first blockchain-focused courses for law schools and graduate programs.

In 2020, he was one of the American Bar Association’s Top 40 Young Lawyer Award nominees and is currently an adjunct professor of law at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline’s School of Law, teaching blockchain and cryptocurrency law. Today, Bull Blockchain Law, the firm that Andrew Founded, is one of the largest solely blockchain technology focused law firms in the U.S., representing clients in domestic and international jurisdictions.

To provide the EU perspective we have Token City's Head of Global Ecosystem, Javier de Coca Benjumea. With 17 years of experience in the financial technology sector, Javier has spent a large portion of his career helping develop and connect digital finance solutions in frontier markets, now focused on EU primary and secondary DLT issuance and trading.
